Job Description
As the Operations Manager/Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in driving the operational excellence and financial well-being of our company. Your expertise will ensure seamless operations, financial integrity, and strategic growth for the company. While the position is initially an individual contributor role we anticipate that it will grow over time to include one or more direct reports as well as leadership of various internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Develop, implement, and optimize operational processes.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of operational workflows and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Oversee the supply chain and procurement activities.
- Champion adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Manage selected HR processes until a full-time role in this area is necessary.
Financial Control
- Lead financial management and planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including cost center (budget-to-actual) reporting, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Work closely with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement internal controls that safeguard financial assets and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic financial decisions and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with international tax laws.
Team Leadership
- Provide leadership for a diverse team of internal and external stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Collaborate across all departments to ensure a seamless interdisciplinary approach to operations.
Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with executive leadership to shape and execute the company's strategic roadmap, aligning with our vision for AI-driven radiation therapy solutions.
- Contribute financial insights and operational recommendations to drive informed decision-making at the strategic level.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or relevant certifications preferred
- Preferred 5 years of experience in operations management and financial control; preferably within the software or healthcare industry
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and reporting requirements
- Experience in supply chain management, procurement, and vendor relationships, particularly in a medical software context
- Leadership skills that inspire collaboration, innovation, and accountability among team members
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations
- Expertise with financial software and tools such as Quickbooks or similar
- Experience with CRM systems (Hubspot/Salesforce)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management
- Proactive, adaptable, hands-on and results-driven with a passion for contributing to the transformation of cancer treatment
