Job Description
As a React Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing user interfaces that enable healthcare professionals to interact with and analyze medical images effectively and efficiently. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, medical experts, and designers to create intuitive and responsive web applications.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of user-friendly and intuitive web interfaces using React.js for medical imaging applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, medical professionals, and designers, to design and implement effective solutions.
- Optimize application performance to ensure smooth interactions while handling complex medical image datasets.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in web development and medical imaging technologies, proposing innovative solutions.
- Ensure that software meets high standards of quality, is modifiable, efficient, reliable, and well-documented.
- Collaborate in technical design and design review meetings to provide valuable insights and contribute to the development process.
- Adhere to software development best practices and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency with React (3+ years experience)
- Proficiency with TypeScript
- Python experience is a plus
- Past experience with image processing is an asset
- Object Oriented development experience
- Strong knowledge of software documentation and testing
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong understanding of system design concepts
- Strong understanding of modeling languages like UML
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams in a fast moving environment
- High level of initiative with ability to self-manage
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience) and/or demonstrable related experience
Extra Credit
- Experience with DICOM medical imaging data format
- Cloud computing experience with AWS an asset
- Experience with standards relating to medical device product development including IEC 62304, ISO 13485, FDA, etc.
